Hey Rush !

When are you likely to be bringing Brenda back! Dont suppose it will be before thursday this week by any chance!!!!!

We could really use her at the 24 hour racing at Silverstone next weekend. We have one buggy going already and a second would actually be really useful for carting tyres around etc.

PLEASE! [-o<

I'll drive Brenda round Silverstone!!! It's not far from me and I've driven the circuit before in sports cars and saloon cars \:D/

As it's a 24hr race I'll offer my services too.... I'm free all weekend from Thursday!

What we doing - 10 laps?

Contrary to popular belief, The Buggies are used for transporting fuel, tyres, tools and people around the paddock and pits. NOT racing around the track!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are welcome to attend and watch the racing but I am afraid all the free tickets have already been allocated. We have a team of cars taking part and two of them are in our corporate colours with our logo on. ( yes we have our own racing team ) other cars and drivers have been drafted in to make up the numbers and it should be a good weekend.

So. If rush manages to return Brenda before thursday, Any one with an emotional attachment with her, can see her at Silverstone next weekend along with her big sister "Slingshot" and any encouragement for our team would be well recieved. Sadly I will not be there cos I have to cover events here at Brands hatch circuit.

Just had a Chat with the office regarding Brenda's homecoming. It look like getting her to Silverstone, might be an issue, but The team will still appreciate anyone coming along for some support. If anyone happens to turn up and can get into the paddock, you might be able to find The team and then Ask for Jason. He can talk you through the team and car setup and show you which cars to route for.

Nuff said on that subject.

Then be prepared to become one of those SAD grey haired old gits that snake the country lanes on a BSA Bantam. You have already proved old age creeping up in another thread!

Thats abit harsh cartman. what was wrong with the old Bits Stuck Anywhere. you could fix them with a piece of string, some chewing gum and a rabbits foot. i'll be dead before grey hair anyway, there's a steady Que building of people looking to see to that.

I should explain. i said to a certain person at leeds this year that my bike was off limits for practical jokes. i'm fair game but don't mess with my bike. said person was trying to round up enough people to lift it off somewhere else in a drunken state. 1000cc of bike falling over (especially my bike) in a muddy field is not the best thing to have to deal with.

ever done any lawnmover racing cartman? thinking of having a go with a few mates

Harsh ? ME ?????????

Im just a sarcastic old git myself!

I yearn for the days of string chewing gum and cigarette paper packet for adjusting the points etc. Biking is not what its meant to be these days.

So Nastymark, you want a lawn mower at leeds next year? or was it an arial square four running on just the front pots (pretty normal in my days) or am i just reading the post incorrectly?

Seriously though. NO I have not been involved in mower racing even though most of my working life lately ( before starting the custom cart company ) i was a grass machinery technician, so i know mowers pretty darned well.

Anyway, this thread is starting to go OFF TOPIC.

If you live close to silverstone Jules, Blag your way in and find our monster buggy ( pits or paddock ). Then you might have an idea of what you might just get next year :pirate:

So.

Thats it for another year!

Brenda is back home and looking pretty good. She was treated to a shampoo and set, by John and Holly at the local car wash but then refused to start so we couldn't get her off the trailer. I made the excuse that maybe the spark plugs got wet with the shampoo job, but my suspicions are that Brenda did not want to come home. She has obviously made a lot of new friends this year and I am really pleased for her.

John, my son Michael and myself coaxed her down to terra firma. (we pushed her) and once down Michael had another attempt at starting her without much success.

After a chat about her antics, and possible future, John and Holly, left to make their way to London and within a few minutes, Brenda started and did a quick lap around our yard. Then rolled into the corner and went back to sleep. I think, apart from missing all you guy's, she just needed a well earned rest and a good sleep.

We put her to bed last night (her, murmering about it being so quiet) and then we crept out and left her to it.

All I can say now is, Well done everyone, More money raised for an extremely worthy cause, Much fun was obviously had by all involved and yet again, Brenda did her bit to help.

We are so proud of her! we may just have to set up a small website, so that we can post her pictures and write up a little blog for her.

Anyone with any material ( photo's, Video, Or even a short story / article that you wish to write) would be most appreciated and as long as there are no long words I don't understand 8-[ , I will put it all on her site.

Please send any material to colin@customcart.co.uk

If you wish to send any hard copy, It can be posted to
