Thankyou Brenda, we had a great time at Beautiful Days dispite the wind, rain and mud, she took me through the long night shifts, and I now know how to make tea, still not drinking the stuff :-#

Brenda spotted at Reading

She was wonderful again, even when I had 12 pallets stacked up onthe back for the last night fire...she has done us proud this year

She even survived numerous trips through the campsites...

If you could see the whole of her windscreen you could see that her vehicle pass for Beautiful Days even had her name on it.

Will she be making the trip across the water for the last festival of the season? I do hope so 'cos I didn't say a proper 'goodbye' at BD.

Don't worry Jules Steve is looking after her and she'll be on the Isle of Wight.

Well that’s another year dun and dusted and she’s still running thanks to Steve and Clive, but I wanted to know if you think she should come back next year?

I know she’s knocking on a bit now and she’s not to keen on hills, but she’s still managed to make it through another season. And in most cases she’s managed to around site when some of her newer counter parts used by other site teams have given up or got stuck in the mud.

So I say

Big

Up

Brenda the Buggy from Custom Cart

Maybe we could arrange a heart transplant with Nastymark's bike - then she would be a Real Boogie!

A 1000cc 107 horsepower firestorm powered brenda...hmmmm now there's a thought. b If you must discuss my belovered pride and joy becoming an organ donor please make sure the surgeon is somebody who can actually use a spanner, not somebody mistaken for a spanner. anyway i've had an idea. next year we start charging for tea and coffee to all them non oxfam staff we supply, security, gate and traffic etc. shouldn't take too long before we've enough in the kitty to buy this beauty below. comes complete with floater newly designed oxfam uniform:

Surely the addition of a transparent poncho and some sensible shoes would make the uniform suitable for all weather conditions? - who cares about the tea and coffee? I would be warm enough!

In addition to my last post i would really appreciate it if you could send me any photos that you have of Brenda on duty. I'd like to create a photo montage for Colin and his team at custom cart, and then to get it framed so that i can give it to him when i take Brenda back home for winter in two weeks times.

The team at custom cart have never ask for anything form Oxfam for there kind donation of Brenda for the last two summers, so i think this is a small price to pay for all there help and continued support.

Please send your photos to jpicken@oxfam.org.uk

Hi Guys.

We at Custom Cart really appreciate the comments here. So, You want Brenda back for 2009? HMMMMMMMMM, Will have to think about that! OK, ITS DONE.

BUT!

Are you sure Brenda will be good enough now you have seen a picture of a special?

RUSH. If it's gonna be you delivering Brenda back, you will see that we have buggies like the picure linked to earlier. Not sure if i would wear the uniform though. The shoes I can manage, but I dont think the pants would be big enough for me.

We have seriously thought about retiring Brenda and building something better for you guys. We where going to do it for this season, but with the move and new building, we ran out of time. Good thing too by the sound of it. looks like you guys had a whale of a time and she obviously has enjoyed her Holiday as much as you lot.

Maybe over the winter, we can try to spruce her up with loads of new parts, new engine and some Monster tyres. This might be a better option as you all seem so warm towards Brenda and I would not want to take her away from you. Maybe if things go well here this year, we might just be able to supply a second buggy and trailer, Dont hold me to that just yet, but we will do our best for you.

Now. Come on guys, sort out your pictures, Not just of Brenda, but all the guys who have had some sort of relationship with her. ( NO SMUT PLEASE [-X ) And send them to RUSH..

WE at Custom Cart are extremely proud of the small part we play in aiding poverty and hope to continue to do so.

We talked a lot about her design at latitude, she's a lovely lady but might be more parctical as a 4 seat verson with a small stowage box inbetweent he 4 seats for flasks etc. I think she carries people more than anything ;-)

Oh and some nice ud gaurds would help, although next season is going to be entirley sunny!

Rush they make a mean cup of tea at custom cart too!
